John McCartney Art & Antiques is a great antique shop located just off State Highway 5 in Rotorua, New Zealand.  The shop is in an old house and it is filled with some very interesting antiques and collectibles. 

What’s Inside:

John McCartney Art & Antiques offers something for everyone, but you will have to work to find things as there is a bit of clutter.  You will find: china, cameras, prints, art, paper, frames, ceramics, pottery, glass, furniture, kitchenware, cutlery, boxes, kiwiana, pewter, and interesting items of all kinds.  They also have a nice selection of books, but bring a torch as the lighting in that section is not so good.

Location Tips:

John McCartney Art & Antiques is just off State Highway 5 as it runs through Rotorua.  Travelling north on SH5, you would turn right on to Pererika Street, which is just before Rotorua Boys.  The shop is at the opposite end of Pererika.

Off street and street parking is available.
